Facebook Feast

Ok, I admit I’m really late coming to Facebook. I was waiting for a critical mass to take place in order to have the most friends available. Now I guess that has happened because my mom is on Facebook. That is a sign of it’s absolute superiority to Myspace. Myspace is still better for music promotion but as a social network site, facebook has it beat. OK back to adding more friends.

Google maps street view comes to Albuquerque

Google Maps has added Albuquerque to its list of cities with street view. This feature lets you see a 360 view taken from any street. It looks as the data was collected in early fall. There is still foliage on the trees but it is turning. I also noticed how the sun obstructs the view when it is low in the sky. Surprisingly, much of the university area has yet to be added. I was able to find an important landmark however. I give you “Chevy on a Stick.

control panels suck

Spending all night installing WordPress is not my idea of fun, but it turns out it was the silly installer in the hosting company’s control panel. How come these interfaces never seem to be tested properly. They are supposed to save time but the WordPress installer assigns it’s own temporary password, making the one you choose useless.

I am happy that I fixed a hard drive today. Turns out the hard drive was fine. The enclosure I was using went bad, causing it to lock up my computer daily. My iPod is much happier now. Especially because I don’t have to rip my music collection from various backups.

Anyway, my blog is off and running.
